Philanthropy
One of Courtside Club's core values is to actively participate in improving the quality of life in our community. We demonstrate this value through regular volunteering and fundraising for charitable causes. Last year Courtside helped to contribute over $350,000, which includes money raised by members and staff, matching funds from our parent organization and donated memberships, services and equipment.
Like our parent organization, Western Athletic Clubs, we believe that philanthropy isn't just something for wealthy individuals or large corporations. Companies of all shapes and sizes must play an active role in their communities to create truly vibrant neighborhoods and healthy, active community members.
Our philanthropic activity focuses on four types of community projects: those that promote physical activity as related to aging, disadvantaged children and youth, disease, and the continuing education of fitness professionals. Over the past few years, the concept of community outreach has evolved into a core business strategy for the Club and our employees. Our goal is to create more opportunities for members and local businesses to collaborate on this important and fulfilling experience.
